Taking the mold off the clay sculpture, carefully wedging the halves apart without damaging the mold.


This mold is very thin and relies for strength on an exoskeleton of burlap, conduit and bits of wood. To demold, the exoskeleton is removed and the plaster layer cracks off the casting.
