· Brush-on Rubber Mold

Single front shell is shallower than the back to ensure release from the cast. The back shell is in four sections, allowing for undercutting. Rubber is two pieces.

Four pieces for the back key together. The texture of the brushed rubber in the shell acts as a key for the rubber.

A good impression. Some of the red clay from the original has colored the rubber. The blue lines around the flanges are drawn with felt-tip pen during application of rubber, and provide a guide when cutting through the flange.

Ready for the foundry. Front and back key together for perfect registration of the rubber.
