Adirondacks glacier animation

Using our special mapping software, the map is stitched together from several separate tiles of the area.

The greyscale is used to displace a plane in our 3D modeling program.
The color map is also made with our special mapping software and is based on the elevation data.

Now animating a glacier across the terrain, the glacier's leading edge conforms to surface variations and mountain tops will poke through the ice.

A plane of water fills the low points.
